How the US Armed-up Syrian Jihadists
Follow Alistair Establishing the success or failure of a drone strike in Syria is hard. Ideally special forces would be sent to the scene to gather DNA and other evidence for proof, but in Syria that is rarely practical or possible. Instead, analysts examine cockpit footage from either the drone or jet which carried out the strike. This is known as battle damage assessment – or BDA for short. White Widow jihadist ‘killed in drone strike’ Image: The airstrike that killed Sally Jones was reportedly carried out by a US drone. Web traffic is monitored for confirmation among other jihadists. British defence officials are confident in this case that Sally Jones was killed, but have questioned some of the more precise detail being reported by the media – the where and when. Essentially though, they’ve got their woman, the latest high-profile scalp in what is now a sizeable operation to remove Islamic State’s key figures.

Background[ edit ] Abdulazeez, a naturalized American citizen, was born in Kuwait on September 5, , to Palestinian-Jordanian parents. The father was questioned while on a trip abroad but was eventually removed from the watchlist. He was ultimately not charged with any crime, and the information revealed no information on Abdulazeez himself. The New York Times reported that limits on the family’s health insurance coverage “thwarted their plan to have him go into rehab.
He had also been thousands of dollars in debt and was planning to file for bankruptcy.
At night, he cruised jihadist forums and offered tech support to Jihad Unspun, a Canada-based Islamist news site widely thought to be a recruiting ground for would-be terrorists.
Kosovo Inside Kacanik, Kosovo’s jihadist capital Tiny town boasts only 30, people, yet two dozen local men have gone to fight jihad in Iraq and Syria Infamous son: Well-kept cemeteries include nearly victims of Serb-led ethnic cleansing in , while in the town centre, a statue clutching an RPG honours fallen members of Brigade of the Kosovan Liberation Army. But a decade and a half on from the war that brought about Kosovo’s independence, there is rather less pride in Kacanik’s new crop of warriors.
In the last three years, some 24 local menfolk have gone to fight for jihadist groups in Syria and Iraq, giving the town of just 30, people an unwanted reputation as the jihadist capital of the Balkans. Will Wintercross To add to the sense of shame, one of them, a year-old recruiter named Lavdrim Muhaxheri, has committed atrocities as gruesome as any of those carried out in Kacanik in , when British troops unearthed a mass grave containing 81 bodies.
Last summer, in an act that sent shockwaves across Kosovo, Muhaxheri posted Facebook pictures of himself apparently beheading another man suspected of spying against the Islamic State. Another shows him executing a Syrian man using an RPG. But for a nation of just 1. Along with neighbouring Albania, which has fielded around , and nearby Bosnia, which around , it is now seen as a potential launch pad for Isil in its bid to establish a new front against Europe in the Balkans.
Reuters What also alarms Western security officials, though, is why any Kosovans would join Isil’s fanatics at all. After all, back in , it was the West that rescued Kosovo’s mainly Muslim population, with Nato bombing raids that halted the campaign of ethnic cleansing by Serb extremists.

Dr Tareq Kamleh in a photo taken from his Facebook page. Facebook Mr Gifford didn’t keep the hardcover notebook but handed it over to the Kurdish military, which was collecting material on foreign fighters to give to US forces. Dr Kamleh arrived in Syria from Perth in March Documents Mr Gifford found at the house indicate it had been commandeered for Dr Kamleh by the “caliphate army”. He is the only known Australian doctor working with IS in Syria.
He told The Australian in a interview that there had been one other, though this may have been a recruitment tactic aimed at making the trip attractive to more Australians. Mr Gifford said he firmly believed the house and its possessions were Dr Kamleh’s. He said another notebook in the house showed the doctor had received military training and “seemed to be pretty much obsessed with it judging by the way he wrote about it”.
He also had an “obsession with vitamin pills” and had many bottles for various purposes. Mr Gifford concluded the doctor was “an American Psycho-type man”, referring to the preening, charismatic but psychopathic book and film character. Former colleagues and acquaintances of Dr Kamleh’s have previously described him as charming but manipulative and sexually predatory.

Like It Or Not, We Are Now Officially At War With Islam
The jihadist ended the tweet ominously: But Islam, it would seem, is at war with us. According to the website thereligionofpeace. From just October 31st, , to November 6th, , we have this: The worst part is that is no where close to coming to an end, it will only increase. We have been reporting for weeks on the damage being wrought right now in those European nations who have allowed large numbers of Muslim migrants to come in.
What ISIS Really Wants. The Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse.
Photographs by Erin Trieb The Convert Tania Joya had been married to a jihadist from Texas for ten years, but she was tired of living like a nomad and unnerved by his increasingly extreme ideology. When he dragged their family to war-torn Syria, she knew it was time to get out. November by Abigail Pesta Photographs by Erin Trieb Late on an August night in , Tania Joya found herself stranded with her husband and three young sons in a Turkish city not far from the border with Syria.
The hotels were jammed with refugees, and the family had nowhere to go. Her husband, a convert to Islam, was a Texan, from Plano. Tania, who had been raised outside of London, had been married to him for ten years. They had most recently been living in Egypt but had been forced to flee that country amid the chaos that followed the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood—led government. He was a jihadist—soon to become one of the most senior Westerners in ISIS—who dreamed of helping form a caliphate, an Islamic kingdom to rule the world.
She was growing increasingly disenchanted with his quest. Standing on a dusty street that August night, Tania, who was five months pregnant, was furious. The family had been living like nomads for a decade, and she was sick of it. As Tania argued with her husband, a rundown minibus pulled up, letting people on and off.
Suspected diary of Tareq Kamleh reveals Australian doctor’s despair with IS
On a cold day in December , a group of about 20 Islamic extremists gathered together in a wooded area near Orillia, Ontario. Sitting around a campfire, the ringleader delivered a fiery sermon comparing the countryside to Chechnya and calling for victory over “Rome,” a veiled reference to Canada. He also said, “We are not officially al-Qaeda, but we share their principles and methods. A home video of the two-week convocation shows masked men in winter camouflage marching through the snow in the Ontario forest, carrying out maneuvers while waving black flags and shouting “Allahu akbar” — “God is great” in Arabic.
Incongruously, the person who gave the fiery sermons on jihad and played a key role in setting up and running the camp, while Muslim, was not a terrorist, nor was he an extremist, although he did purchase supplies and gave firearms lessons.
Gory images posted to the social media site Twitter showed two men being publicly crucified in Raqqa, Syria, allegedly by members of an Islamic extremist group. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [ISIL], a jihadist group, used its Twitter account to take responsibility for the public.
The bulk of the funds received by his company, MiGenie, was then transferred to a bank account held in Dubai. Complaints flooded in from customers and an investigation was launched by eBay officials, who alerted police when they discovered Butt’s previous self-confessed links to Islamic terrorism and feared the money would be used for that purpose, Manchester Crown Court heard today. Butt had previously given numerous media interviews about how he had sent recruits to training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan and of his close links with terror group al Qaida, the court was told.
He later renounced his espousal of terror attacks on the Western public and the teachings of former UK-based extremist Omar Bakri Muhammad who, he said, had groomed him. When called as witness at a terrorism trial in in Manchester, however he conceded he was a “professional liar” who would say “absolutely anything” to make money – even if it damaged community relations and caused trouble for fellow Muslims. Today, Butt was jailed for a total of 13 years after he was convicted of multiple counts of fraud and money laundering.

Jihadist use of the dating site may suggest also it is becoming harder for IS members to find Western or foreign jihadi brides in a caliphate that’s been shrinking fast in recent months thanks.

My fear was that Trump would run his White House the way he had run his business empire — as a right of inheritance. In an administration where women play only supportive roles, Ivanka has settled for assistant White House czar. The bigger job belongs to her year-old husband, Jared Kushner, whose portfolio so far includes brokering Middle East peace, negotiating trade deals, reconfiguring the federal government, stamping out opioids, establishing ties with China and Mexico and — as of this week — surveying our strategy in Iraq.
Bohrer, which reminded me of how blatantly the Kennedys made their White House a family affair. No one spoke to John Kennedy more, or had more influence across the entire spectrum of policy, than his brother. So blatant was it, in fact, that in Congress passed a law barring any president from naming a relative to the Cabinet or to the helm of any federal agency.
There could be little doubt about the purpose of the site to which Pino was posting. It was provided in the upper right corner: “We are a jihadist news service, and provide battle dispatches.
My accusations were serious but irrefutable: Julio Pino was an Islamic jihadist who was actively conspiring with other terrorists seeking to murder American troops and innocent civilians. The FBI eventually got Pino. Unfortunately, it took them eleven years during which Ohio taxpayers were forced to pay the salary of a man who was openly planning to wage war on his own country.
When Pino finally entered a guilty plea in federal court last month, the charge was one count of making false statements to the FBI during an investigation dating back to The investigation concerned social media correspondences with a Facebook friend who identified himself as J. The feds were interested in J. That falsehood would eventually cost him his job and will eventually cost him his freedom.
But I am getting ahead of myself. Unfortunately for Pino, that was the same day J. Julio Pino is a terrorist who plans to kill a bunch of people. I am aware of it. And I approve of it because I am the type of scumbag who threatens sitting judges over disputes in child custody cases.

But prominent clerics vary widely on how homosexuals should be treated. Osama bin Laden once considered the cleric as an influential figure on his own views, but Dr. Ouda later denounced bin Laden’s violent interpretation of Islam.
A British jihadist is reportedly among nine senior ISIS leaders to be executed by militants angry at defeats to Iraqi government forces.. A captain, identified as Moataz al-Hamadani, told BasNews.
My original interest was piqued by a Knight Ridder news article written in late September of 1 claiming that the internet was the new terrorist frontier. I have to admit the concept of terrorists openly advertising on the web seemed astounding. Though we all know anything is possible on the internet, it also seemed like a media ploy to drum up more fear. Two websites referred to in the articles, Jihad University and Terrorist , proved to be something other than specific websites.
However, this opened the door to thinking about how terrorists were using the internet, if at all. On one hand, what better way to spread propaganda, recruit volunteers, and raise funds than via the web? Just what is a terrorist anyway? The decision to write the article raised other more personal concerns. Would these sites be in English?
Would the sites be password guarded? And, if so, how would potential recruits get the passwords?

But as fighting rages to evict the Islamic State IS group from the main city in northern Iraq, it will be a race against time to save the archaeological treasures uncovered in the tunnels. The jihadists dug the network of tunnels to plunder artefacts under a hill reputedly housing the tomb of the Prophet Jonah, the Nabi Yunus shrine which they dynamited in July Miraculously, several choice pieces survived the looting and appear as the crouched visitor winds through the maze of tunnels with its scent of damp clay.
Salih said the artefacts date back to the eighth century BC in the Assyrian period and hail from the palace of King Esarhaddon whose existence in the area was known to Iraqi archaeologists. Two mural sculptures in white marble show the winged bulls with only the sides and feet showing.

Who was he and what did he represent? The answer should shock many in the scholarly community. Thomas, was discovered in Northern and Southern Arabia dating back to the fifth century B. The beginning of the Epic of Atrahasis describes Allah as how all of the gods labored endlessly in grueling work, under the rule of the patron deity Enlil or Elil. Let us carry Elil, the counselor of gods, the warrior, from his dwelling. Let us mix fight with battle!
Christian and Muslim scholars — as well as secular professors — presented numerous arguments on just who Allah really is, not from an actual name reference but as to the attributes of this deity being similar to others in pre-Islamic times. For example, the renowned historian W. Clair Tisdal had found traits of the Persian religion Zoroastrianism in Islam; while many Christian writers have argued that Allah was a moon-god in Arabia and Babylon, but such an argument has been difficult to conclude, on account of the absence of a smoking gun chiseled in ancient inscriptions directly by naming Allah literally and connecting him with lunar worship.
Muslim thinkers on the other hand have always argued that Abraham originally worshiped Allah purely without the corruption of idolatry or Christianity or Judaism, as the Koran states:
