Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013
By the end of the 3rd century, there were over 20 gospels, numerous letters and other writings, totalling nearly eighty documents. Most of these are lost to us today. In the 3rd and 4th centuries, the church did suppress a number of these texts. But they had been condemned from as early as the 2nd century. Like many ancient texts, it is possible that they would have fallen into disuse and obscurity even without external intervention. In choosing the appropriate texts, authorship was the most important factor. Earlier dating was important, as older documents had greater circulation and recognition. The Shepherd of Hermas, for example, was excluded because it was too recent and had been written by the brother of a bishop. Documents connected to Rome were chosen over those written elsewhere and for this reason the Gospel of Thomas, popular in Egypt, lost out.
A Christian Manifesto (sermon series by Alistair Begg)
Here is a man who has a prophetic voice in the manner of a Tozer or Lloyd-Jones. And in this message, Washer clearly and effectively levels ten indictments against the modern church that we must take heed of. The modern church does not know God.

And the job of the preacher is to overcome consumer resistance and persuade people to buy his product. And many, many, many younger men have begun to labor in pastoral ministry with that as a model. It is a recipe for the worst kind of disappointment, eventually. Because what do we discover when we turn to the Bible?
We discover that according to Paul there is one overwhelming reason why the analogy is no good. The preacher cannot overcome consumer resistance.

Much of this frenzy of access is facilitated by mobile devices. These phones and other mobile devices have become a primary driver of teen internet use: African-American and Hispanic youth report more frequent internet use than white teens. While both are probability-based, nationally representative samples of American teens, the current survey was administered online, while our previous work involved surveying teens by phone.
A great deal of previous research has found that the mode of interview — telephone vs. The magnitude and direction of these effects are difficult to predict, though for most kinds of questions, the fundamental conclusions one would draw from the data will be similar regardless of mode. Accordingly, we will not compare specific percentages from previous research with results from the current survey. But we believe that the broad contours and patterns evident in this web-based survey are comparable to those seen in previous telephone surveys.
Middle and upper income teens lean toward Instagram and Snapchat The survey data reveals a distinct pattern in social media use by socio-economic status. Twitter shows a similar pattern by income, with the wealthiest teens using Twitter more than their least well-to-do peers. It should be noted that some of these differences may be artifacts of differences in use of these sites by these different subgroups of teens. Texting is an especially important mode of communication for many teens.
A typical teen sends and receives 30 texts per day 2 And teens are not simply sending messages through the texting system that telephone companies offer. Girls dominate social media; boys are more likely to play video games Teenage girls use social media sites and platforms — particularly visually-oriented ones — for sharing more than their male counterparts do.

They will escape with their lives; they will live. He is discouraging the soldiers who are left in this city, as well as all the people, by the things he is saying to them. This man is not seeking the good of these people but their ruin. They lowered Jeremiah by ropes into the cistern; it had no water in it, only mud, and Jeremiah sank down into the mud. They have thrown him into a cistern, where he will starve to death when there is no longer any bread in the city.
He took some old rags and worn-out clothes from there and let them down with ropes to Jeremiah in the cistern. And Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard. Even if I did give you counsel, you would not listen to me. Then it will go well with you, and your life will be spared. Those women will say to you: Your feet are sunk in the mud; your friends have deserted you.
You yourself will not escape from their hands but will be captured by the king of Babylon; and this city will[ e ] be burned down.
